I am looking for a postdoctoral statistician to work in the Infection and Cancer Epidemiology Group at IARC in Lyon, France. The group has a number of projects on the relationship between infections and cancer. The two main themes of research are currently 1) human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer and 2) Cancer in people with HIV.
The position is for 1 year initially with the possibility of renewal for 1 further year. The ideal candidate will have a rigorous background (e.g. PhD in statistics, biostatistics or equivalent) with a genuine interest in applied statistics. A good knowledge of R is definitely an advantage, as is previous experience in chronic disease epidemiology.
Applicants should send a CV, including list of publications and a description of previous research experience, as well as the names and addresses of two academic referees, to me (plummer at iarc dot fr). You can also email me with more informal queries or leave a comment here on the blog.
